Praying for America

If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their land.II Chronicles 7:14

Confession of Who we belong to:
• We belong to God
• Our kingdom is not of this world
• We have been bought with the price of the blood of Christ
• We are heirs of the covenant and promises of God
• Our lives are not our own
• We are a chosen generation
• We are a royal priesthood
• We are God’s children

We come in the authority of the name of Jesus:
• We are Christians
• We are believers
• We are beloved of God
• We are redeemed
• We are the salt of the earth
• We are the light of the world
• We are the seed of Abraham

We choose to humble ourselves:
• We admit our need
• We rely on God’s strength
• We acknowledge our failure
• We realize our limitation
• We resist pride
• We forsake self-righteousness
• We look at our short comings
• We are honest about our need of divine intervention

Pursue God’s Divine Intervention:
• Realize God is the only One who can change our situation
• Cry out to God
• Focus your attention on God’s power to change things
• Lift your eyes to the heaven
• Pursue God with your whole heart
• Appeal to the mercy of God
• Acknowledge His power to save us
• Put all of you hope and trust in Him
• Forsake your wisdom for His divine ways

Confess our sin:
• Acknowledge your rebellion
• Confess your worldly ways
• Confess hardheartedness toward God’s truth
• Confess your exchange of the truth of God for the lies of Satan
• Confess personal compromise and deceit
• Confess the secret things of lust and desire for power
• Confess any anger, bitterness, or frustration with people
• Confess any dishonor of men God has put in authority
• Confess any lack of trust and confidence in the wisdom of God

Wait and listen to God for His answer for heaven:
• Be still and wait for God to speak to you
• Rest in His presence and know that he wants to minister to you
• Embrace His peace and love in your life
• Allow Him to renew your strength
• Accept His forgiveness
• Allow His blood to cover your sin
• Open your heart and thank Him for His grace and mercy
• Accept his healing in every area of your life
• Accept His divine intervention in our country and over your life
• Rejoice in knowing that His kingdom will come, and His will is accomplished through your intercession and healing will come to our land
• Walk in the confidence that God has heard you and you will see His hand working things out.
